Sailhero XHN2000B Nitrogen Dioxide Analyzer adopts the chemiluminescence method. Primarily applied to the construction of various ambient air quality automatic monitoring stations at all levels, it enables continuous and automatic monitoring of the concentrations of nitric oxide (NO) and nitrogen dioxide (NO₂) in ambient air.
Sailhero XHN2000B calculates the concentration of NO, NO2 and NOX in the air by measuring the light intensity of luminous reaction between NO and O3 . NO and O3 react to generate excited-state nitrogen dioxide (NO2*), and the excited-state nitrogen dioxide molecules release excess energy to return to low energy state by emitting photons. The light
intensity is proportional to the concentration of NO. The photomultiplier converts the light intensity signal into electrical signals, and the concentrations of NO and NOx are determined by measuring the electrical signals. The NO/NOx valve is used to switch the sample gas
entering the reaction chamber, so that the sample gas directly entering from the sampling port and the sample gas passing through the molybdenum furnace alternately enter the reaction chamber. When the sample gas directly enters the reaction chamber, the concentration of NO in the air is measured; when the sample gas enters the reaction chamber through the molybdenum furnace, NO2 in the sample gas is reduced to NO, and the concentration of total nitrogen oxides NOx in the air is measured under such condition. NOx concentration subtracting NO concentration gets NO2 concentration.
